Customer Review: Nice form, weak execution
I was very pleased when I opened the box and found a nice chunky, seemingly heavy duty microphone. The hardware is well crafted with good fit and finish. I plugged it in and it self installed quickly and without incident. Now, having tested the microphone for several voice only projects using multiple software applications, the quality of recordins was poor at best. In all cases the volume was VERY low, tinney, and digitized. To eliminate the possibility of computer malfunction or software limitations, I tested this on three computer with two different software applications all with the same results. I would not reccomend this solution.
Customer Review: NOT FOR MULTITRACK RECORDING
For multitrack recording, this mic is useless. It shuts off all other sound coming from the computer. For multitrack recording, you need to listen to previously recorded tracks while adding more tracks. With this mic it is impossible. I have other USB mics that work just fine. Whoever designed this device was not real intelligent.

the new updated driver available online still does not work for vista!!! lenovo gave this webcam away with the purchase of my new laptop because they didn't think they would lose money because they knew it would not work anyway even with the supposed new drivers available online! what a joke! i hate being the "duped" consumer. i'm buying a $20 webcam from the local computer store and happily throwing this lenovo piece of XXX in the garbage.

The camera is just fine. Instalation without any problem (I have Win XP), works without any delay whatsoever. Just the face-tracking software sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. The microphone is quite sensitive, works just fine. Must have - if you think about a camera with a microphone.

Customer Review: Beautiful, though overpriced
I got this from another store, where I had gift certificates, but still, the price could be better. It is certainly worthy of 5 stars though, in every other regard. We bought a 46" LCD and it looks perfect on this stand. I would not recommend anything over 47" or anything under 42" for a TV. The stand is a nice black, and while not all wood, it LOOKS very nice, and expensive. We had no defective pieces upon recieiving it, and assembly took about an hour and a half, with my husband doing 99% of it by himself. The glass doors add a really nice touch and the little round floral emblem on the bottom really adds to the look of it. It is very classy and traditional, but with a touch of modern with the clean black color. The height of it is really nice too, not too tall, not too short. I would highly recommend this stand to anyone.

I have been in the voice-over business for 20 years and FINALLY, with the purchase of this microphone, am able to record from home, which opens up a whole new "other" world for me. I already have people clammering for work for me. AND ... I'm glad I waited as long as I did because this MXL USB.009 microphone only came out in spring '08 and has some great reviews so I knew this was the one for me. Several people have already asked about it because they are seriously considering getting one for their own home studios. Customer Review: The wrong microphone was sent
I ordered two of the C03UCW microphones and I was sent two of the C01U's - it is a different microphone. I wanted the one shown here. The vendor offered to refund my money and said that it was a mistake made by Amazon. I needed the microphones for a project and did not have time to return them. They worked fine - but they were not the ones I ordered. I still want the other microphones. Amazon - how can you make this one right?
Customer Review: Looks, sounds, feels good!
I don't have too much experience on this type of microphone to make extensive/professional review. I just started playing with Garageband/pod cast and use Skype and wanted to improve the sound input. Compare to the other mini microphones I've used, this is HUGE and heavy, solidly built. Connection is easy, just plug in the USB and the Mac recognizes it. To my not so experienced ears, it sounds better than iSight, built-in mics, and the Sony mic that requires an AA battery and a pre-amp. Well-made, good sound, easy to use. 5-star for the prize/package/performance.
